Regardless of your idea of fun, this city truly has something for everyone. Stop by the Seaquarium located at Key Biscayne to allow your children and teenagers to swim with the dolphins. You can also rent kayaks (North American Canoes), learn how to windsurf (Sailboards Miami), enjoy a massage (Spa at Mandarin Oriental), and take a leisurely stroll down the Boardwalk. If your family is more adventurous, stop by the Xtreme Indoor Rock Climbing Center to see what all this facility has to offer. Furthermore, this area has its share of beaches, IMAX theaters, cruises, zoos, and much more. Be sure to check out Boomers with everything from a go-kart track and laser tag to miniature golf. Your entire family is sure to find something at this attraction that is highly entertaining. In terms of education, this area definitely does not have a lack of schools. Marriage and Couples Mental Health in South Florida
Families go through transitions when a child comes out as gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender. While social acceptance of these sexual orientations and gender identities is growing, some growing pains are still to be expected, and families need support during this time. South Florida Family Pride works with parents of LGBT children, and LGBT parents, providing advocacy, support, and fun community events.2
Sometimes, despite the best efforts of couples to solve their problems, it just doesn't work out. Knowing when to end a relationship, and navigating that transition can be harrowing, but it can be done healthily and with respect. The South Florida Divorced Parent and Separated Couple Support group helps separating individuals and couples make healthy choices and resolve conflicts during trying difficult time.3

For parents who need education on healthily interacting, nurturing and caring for their children, the Parent Education class seminar, taught by the Family Resource Center of South Florida, improves parent-child interactions in families deemed at-risk. The course consists of 12 sessions, lasting 90 minutes, and are taught in English, Spanish and Creole. More information can be found at 305-374-6006.5
