We explore your potential together and imagine what a healthier situation may look like to you.

Sometimes you need help getting started on a career path. Sometimes there is a change, wanted or unwanted, and we need to look at a change in careers. Sometimes we are in a career that we like but feel like a piece is missing or we struggle with different aspects of our career or the people we work with. Most of us spend the majority of our lives in our careers, so seeking help in this area can lift a significant amount of stress. I specialize in helping gifted, talented, and/or highly sensitive adults with the unique challenges they face. This often includes issues around career, work environment, and the difficulty of choosing one specialty when multi-talented. I provide support and strategies for the individual who is outside the norms of general society and needs to design a work-life that most enjoyably and effectively uses their talents.

While most career counselors love to give you capacity based profiles of what your talents and interests are for your best bet career choices, Grey Matters international believes that most people make predictably irrational decisions and then after making them learn way to make them fit into their identities using various types of rationalizations and strategies. I have traveled the country teaching police supervisors how to be effective leaders by developing a culture of acceptance. I have also written extensively on the subject of job burnout, compassion fatigue, morale, effective leadership and ethics for multiple law enforcement publications. In my office I have also coached those who are starting their careers to those who are high level executives on pursuing their professional goals.
