Our focus to counseling patients with addiction is to develop a safe relationship with each client by learning about their experiences with substances as well as understanding and planning to meet their goal of overcoming their addiction. Since each client is different, we ensure and create a plan that provide newfound knowledge and different strategies to decrease the dependence on substances.

This therapy treats substance abuse, sex addiction, overspending, overeating, gambling and internet shopping addictions. Working in collaboration with other 12-step programs in the community, together we will develop a plan to help you and your family through the difficult decisions and process of change of defining, understanding, and coping with addiction. We also offer toxicology screening, breathalyzer readings, and liaison services for those who are court mandated to treatment.

One of the most amazing things is witnessing people free themselves from the depths of addiction. I use multiple treatment approaches to first help an individual stabilize the addictive process. Then I help them work to fully understand the underlying reasons as to why they are addicted in the first place to help avoid relapse. Stopping is only one part of the process - understanding is another.

In my approach to addiction counseling, I create a nonjudgmental and supportive space where clients can openly explore the roots of their behaviors and patterns. I integrate evidence-based strategies such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing to guide clients in understanding their triggers and building healthier coping mechanisms. By fostering self-compassion and resilience, I help clients develop personalized strategies for recovery, strengthen their motivation for change, and rebuild their lives with renewed confidence and hope.
