People who struggle with binge eating are typically caught in a cycle of overeating followed by guilt, depression and self loathing. My approach to binge eating therapy includes processing and resolving past traumas, family of origin issues and current struggles that may contribute to the cycle. It also includes helping the client to learn to tolerate and process uncomfortable feelings. Cognitive behavioral therapy is incorporated to change behavior and stop negative self talk.
