I am a Christian and as a Christian all of my therapy will be guided by Christ. If you would like to pray during therapy and utilize God’ s Word I would be honored to do so with you. I utilize a variety of psychotherapy tools to meet the needs of the individual or family. Psychotherapy helps people to: ~Understand behaviors, emotions and ideas that may contribute to the problem and learn how to modify them ~Understand and identify events or life problems –like loss of a job, divorce, problems at school, a major illness, death or divorce- that contribute to your problems and help you understand those aspects you have the ability to solve or improve. ~Learn coping techniques and problem-solving ....

When a couple desires it, I can draw on my several decades of pastoral work and theological education to help them with their family and marital problems. I hold a Masters of Divinity from Regent College and before being licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist, I pastored churches in New York and Texas and served as Campus Ministry staff in Wisconsin. In my experience, I see that Christians experiences the same relational pain and sorrow as everyone else, but frequently unavail themselves of the resources their faith provides. I can help.

Our spirituality/religious beliefs can be a wonderful resource for people to utilize. Often times in times of distress we can neglect our spiritual side. We look to incorporate an individual's beliefs to help solve problems in their life and enhance their spirituality. Therapy can explore dealing with our doubts, possible anger towards God. We seek to help remind clients of the value that their religion may bring them.
