I have worked with people struggling with sex addiction for many years, and know the steps needed to begin the path of healing, or move further on that path. Sexual feelings are inescapable for most people, which is why it requires a different approach than standard addiction treatment based on AA. We will work together to heal the wound underneath your addiction and create a healthy relationship for you with your sexuality. If you are the partner of a sexually addicted person, we will work towards healthy boundaries that will help you handle your loved one's addiction.

Alcohol and drug over use, abuse, and addiction is an area we specialize in. Serenity Life director Mattye has worked in this specialization for 13 years and is a Certified Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor. Many others on our staff have specific training on how to treat both substance and behavioral addictions (gambling, sex, co-dependency, shopping, eating, gaming, etx). We take a whole person approach to counseling for people. We also believe in harm reduction strategy and 12 step, whatever works for the individual. We offer peer coaching, in community services, as well as creative arts interventions for addiction. We partner with private psychiatry and inpatients for severe needs.
