Christian counseling simply means understanding biblical principles originating from God, and applying those to life. Through Jesus Christ, we have forgiveness of sins and new life; therefore, it is optimal to live according to His directions for us. Spirituality is a strong resource in counseling, and the more we learn about science, the more we realize that living according to biblical teaching actually blesses and strengthens our relationships, emotional health, physical health including brain development, and creates a strong purpose in life.

Our deepest wounds are often those that are at the hands of another person. Human brokenness is the root of our need for redemption. This holds true in therapy and growth work as well. When we encounter our deep wounds, we encounter our need for our Big God. Here, we are able to reconcile the broken our hurt parts of our ourselves. As an experienced Christian Counselor and ordained pastor, over the last 15 years I’ve been blessed to help hundreds of men find hope and healing using both psychological and Biblical principles. I believe that Christ is the ultimate source of hope and healing in this life. But I also believe that he’s given us the gift of rational minds, able to discern scientific and psychological truths built into the fabric of His amazing creation. My approach is grounded firmly in Scripture, but I don’t use Scripture as a weapon. You don’t need more guilt, but rather, a reminder of God’s promises and a compassionate guide to support you.
