Is a Christian Counseling perspective important to you in therapy? As an experienced Christian Counselor and ordained pastor, over the last 15 years I’ve been blessed to help hundreds of men find hope and healing using both psychological and Biblical principles. I believe that Christ is the ultimate source of hope and healing in this life. But I also believe that he’s given us the gift of rational minds, able to discern scientific and psychological truths built into the fabric of His amazing creation. My approach is grounded firmly in Scripture, but I don’t use Scripture as a weapon. You don’t need more guilt, but rather, a reminder of God’s promises and a compassionate guide to support you.

As a graduate of the Liberty University Counseling program, much of my approach has been described as "spiritual". I do NOT believe that takes any of the responsibility off of the individual. Rather, I try to use the Old and New Testament as a doorway to choices and actions that can help people accomplish their stated goals. I am not a Minister or Rabbi, but I do work hand in hand with quite a few. I think I can put things in a manageable perspective for you, so you can enable yourself to do the work needed to make your life better.

Faith and spirituality can provide comfort and meaning to those guided by their beliefs. I was raised in a Christian household myself so I have an appreciation for the values instilled by religion, the importance of tradition, and the strength of community. My approach to counseling is humanistic and welcoming of all spiritualities. Though I do not incorporate any specific pastoral counsel, I encourage my spiritual clients to draw on their beliefs during the counseling process.
