Depression manifests itself in many ways some times in great sadness, others in anger and sometimes even in anxiety and panic. In working with clients in their depression we most often begin with identification of the depression, clarifying what is depression and what is anxiety, learning how their depression is connected to other thoughts and feelings. We work together utilizing Gestalt therapy, DBT (dialectical behavior therapy) and CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) in creating a better understanding of triggers, warning signs and coping skills in very tangible ways.
