I will help you deal with the situation so you can move on with your life. By listening to what you say in a non-judgmental manner, I can help you find a solution that works for you, and gets you back into your life.

All people experience loss at one point or another, and it is important to allow oneself to feel the full spectrum of emotions that present during times of loss and grief. People are unique in expressing grief and loss and sometimes may need professional assistance to process these feelings. Through therapy a person can learn to give self permission to feel and express emotions related to loss, thus assisting them to move toward healing and continued health.

I use a Biblical / Christian approach to grief and loss. I help you encounter Jesus where your pain is so that you not only know, but experience his presence walking with you in your suffering. It's important to be able to give Jesus your feelings and allow him to sit with you while you're feeling them so you can ultimately release them and experience his healing and comfort.

The pain of grief always passes with expression, not avoidance. Counseling grants you permission to grieve. Grieving in the presence of another person is more restorative that grieving alone, but often times friends or family may unknowingly inhibit your grief. Counseling removes all expectations and pressures, allowing your grief to come on its own. Grief counseling makes room for emotions you may not expect, know how to explain, or may feel guilty about. Your expression of grief will ease your pain and make life seem livable again.

As an experienced Christian Counselor and ordained pastor, I’ve supported many men through the grief process. If you’re grieving, I will provide a supportive space for you to process your emotions. Because grief is a normal part of being human, I can’t take it away or rush you through it. However, I can help you identify barriers to grief, and help you prevent the grief process from becoming stuck. I know grief professionally. But I also know grief personally. Losing one of my best friends and my beloved grandparents was hard enough, but facing the untimely death of my father was, and is, a uniquely painful experience.
