Therapy is a collaboration. It's my job to have a lot of strategies/approaches to tackle the issue. It's your job to give me clear feedback as to what feels helpful and what does not. Sometimes you may need to talk through a painful situation that you haven't delved into. Sometimes you may to shift your focus away from a problem area that you've been overly focused on or mired in.
