Appleton, Wisconsin holds many possibilities for visitors and permanent residents alike. The Appleton Memorial Park offers lots of opportunity for fun among its seven baseball and softball fields, ice skating rink, sled riding hill, six tennis courts, picnic pavilion, and fishing pond. The N.E.W. Mental Health Connection is currently engaged in several initiatives to improve access to mental health services in the Appleton area. The No Wrong Door program specifically focuses on facilitating ease of entry into the mental health system through any venue, whether through law enforcement, churches, schools, or mental health service providers. Essential to this initiative is the development of a shared referral database so local agencies can ensure those in need get the services they require.5
