Located in beautiful El Paso, Texas, Rio Vista Behavioral Health provides adolescents and adults with comprehensive counseling and treatment for a wide array of addictions and mental health concerns. Our treatment center serves patients who have been struggling with the symptoms of mental health disorders like psychosis, various mood disorders, posttraumatic stress disorder, anxiety, depression, and many others. At our addiction treatment center, we also provide extensive therapies for patients who require care for substance use or addictions as co-occurring conditions. We treat adolescents ages 13-17 and adults age 18 and older at our inpatient treatment center. The compassionate staff at our mental health treatment center provides care that is age-appropriate, effective, and well-received by our patients. Our goal is to deliver safe, comprehensive treatment that will empower our patients to succeed in their journeys to recovery and wellness. Specific programs we offer include adolescent and adult inpatient programs, our S.T.A.R. Military Program, intensive outpatient programs (IOPs), our PRISM Program, and our specialty unit. Patients at Rio Vista Behavioral Health can participate in a wide variety of treatment modalities, all of which are evidence-based and have proved to be effective. These modalities include mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), recreational therapy, and art therapy. With such broad and diverse treatment options, we support healing the mind, spirit, and body. Many patients who are experiencing symptoms of mental and behavioral health disorders find hope at our mental health treatment center through our acute inpatient program. In this program, patients are able to focus completely on their recovery needs and goals without the distractions of outside triggers. First responders, active members of the military, and veterans receive premier treatment in our S.T.A.R. Program. This program promotes support, treatment, action, and recovery while offering therapeutic healing and treatment for patients who have behavioral health concerns. Our PRISM Program is for members of the LGBTQ+ community. This program offers LGBTQ+-affirming treatments and services for those who struggle with mental health concerns and co-occurring addictions. Sometimes, intensive treatment is needed first for patients to participate in other therapies at our inpatient treatment center. We also have a psychiatric intensive care unit for patients age 18 and older who need help with more severe symptoms that need immediate stabilization. For geriatric patients and patients who need specialized treatment, Rio Vista Behavioral Health also has a specialty unit. This program is designed for patients who have coexisting medical concerns and ensures that the most comprehensive individualized care is always available. To make sure that we are able to provide the best level of care for each patient who walks through our doors, we construct personalized care plans that are unique to each individual. A comprehensive assessment is completed prior to admission, which allows us to determine the best treatments for every person’s recovery needs and goals. Our treatment center provides patients with the support, skills, and tools they need to work successfully toward a happier and healthier life.
