I’m Amanda, and I help adults and couples just like you: ones that have it within them to recover from trauma and previous attachment wounds, break free from debilitating anxiety, and form and deepen secure and healthy relationships, but just need the support to get there. I help my clients find confidence, self-compassion, and ultimately create a life they are proud of by equipping them with the tools they need to better understand themselves and one another, and learn how to tackle barriers that have previously gotten in the way of happiness.

I am dedicated to helping people heal from trauma and live meaningful lives with secure and trusting relationships.

People I support:

The majority of my training has been supporting adults and young adults. People I worked with are often:

Highly self-critical
Putting others before themself
Struggling in their relationships (friends, family, romantic partners)
Seen as having "high functioning" anxiety
Perfectionistic
Gaslighting themselves
Still hoping things can get better

I can help you with:

Childhood trauma (Complex PTSD)
Trauma/PTSD
Attachment/Relational concerns
Romantic relationship concerns
Communication and boundary setting
Social and general anxiety
Life transitions
Multicultural/Identity concerns
Emotional eating
Shame
Perfectionism

Benefits of therapy with me:

Someone who gets it - I've experienced family and relational trauma, I have had significant anxiety, and I've had healthy relationships with romantic partners and really unhealthy relationships
Someone who is prioritizing working with you as an individual - by not working directly with insurance companies and having a small client caseload, I get to be as present as possible with you
Someone who wants you to learn how to be your own therapist by developing a vast toolkit of coping skills - I once had a client refer to finishing therapy as graduating with a Ph.D. in themself, and I love that!

Training/Licensure/Certifications:

7 years of counseling experience - primarily with young adults and millenials
Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Iowa State University (2020)
Licensed Psychologist (Oregon #3469)
Board Certified Telehealth Professional - Level II (BCTP-II)
Certified Clinical Trauma Professional - Level II (CCTP-II)
