I know that you're in pain, and I assure you that you are taking the right first step towards alleviating that pain. I believe in the power of therapy and have seen it work over and over. Therapy works to heal in several ways. First, sharing your story and struggles with a compassionate listener is powerful in itself. If the therapist is also skilled in providing reflections, pointing out blind spots, and offering ways to make small, meaningful changes that compound into big changes, then therapy can be life changing.

My practice is focused on healing trauma and alleviating symptoms of depression and anxiety. If you have had a difficult childhood, it is likely still affecting the way you interact with others day-to-day. These relationship habits may not be serving you in adulthood, and my role is to help you learn new ways of relating. The work is sometimes difficult, and to see lasting changes, you will need persistence. If you feel up to the challenge, I would be honoured to work with you. The rewards will be worth it. The best time to call, email, or text is... right now. You do not need to have the right words or to be ready to explain everything. You simply need to say, "I am ready for something better."

A special note for parents with children or adolescents who are struggling emotionally:
Half of my practice is devoted to helping children who are overwhelmed with anxiety, depressed, displaying behavioural issues, or struggling socially. I provide a space for children and teens to open up and resolve the deeper issues that are making their lives more difficult than they need to be. It is incredibly challenging to parent a child who is struggling. You have likely tried everything and feel quite helpless at this point. I am here to help you and your family find a way out of this negative, seemingly never-ending cycle. Feel free to reach out any time; I do my best to respond promptly.

I offer in-person (Caledon and Orangeville) and virtual therapy. I recommend in-person therapy for children 12 and under.
