Meredith is a lifelong New Yorker who is passionate about and truly enjoys her work. She works collaboratively with her clients to ensure they feel comfortable, listened to, and valued. Meredith has worked with over 100 couples since co-founding Nassau Wellness in 2014. She has had the opportunity to support, empower, and teach these couples how to be happy together again.

The vast majority of couples seeking therapy are simply missing the tools needed to create the relationship they desire.
  • They don’t know the “rules” of healthy communication, fighting constructively, and repairing the breaks between them.
  • As communication breaks down, they feel emotionally disconnected and experience a drop in physical affection and intimacy.

If any (or all) of these apply to you, you’d be a perfect fit to work with Meredith

  • You’ve tried everything to improve your communication, emotional connection, and physical intimacy, but feel like you’re getting nowhere. Things may improve for a week, but then slide right back.
  • You can’t understand how you two got here.
  • You’re not speaking openly with your partner anymore because you anticipate it leading to a conflict or, worse, feeling rejected or misunderstood.
  • Fun has gone missing from your relationship. There’s very little laughter, just task-oriented conversations and running your household/family together.
  • You deeply desire a more fulfilling relationship and are able and willing to put in the work to create it.
  • You value your partner and your relationship and just wish things could be how they used to be.

Understanding why couples fight and how unresolved conflicts snowball into deep resentment and unhappiness allows Meredith to help reverse and repair them. She believes teaching her clients the underlying principles of her work allows them to trust the process more fully and invest in making changes.

Meredith works with motivated couples in a powerful way. Her focus is on helping clients move forward quickly and effectively through:

  • Assessment
  • Education
  • Concrete strategies
  • Accountability

While working with Meredith, you will learn the following:

  • The exact communication framework that all happily partnered couples need to follow
  • The surprising 4 common ways your communication is damaging your relationship (and how to stop them)
  • A specific 4-step protocol for talking through repeat conflicts you’ve never been able to resolve (until now)
  • A 3-part process for creating compromise you’re both happy with, so you can problem-solve like you’re on the same team
  • The exact process for healing from past conflicts once and for all, so you can stop feeling triggered every time they come up
  • The three areas of your relationship you must focus on if you’re going to feel truly connected
  • My 20 minute exercise for feeling deeply connected to and supported by your partner
  • The three things you’re doing in conversation that lead to emotional disconnection, so you can stop them immediately and feel closer than ever before

Meredith is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and received her Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Hofstra University. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Adelphi University. Meredith is a Level 3 Trained Gottman Method Couples Therapist and is currently pursuing certification in this research-based couples therapy model.

Here’s what Meredith’s former clients have to say:

"After my partner and I tried to do things on our own and failed miserably, I decided to go see Meredith. She was very attentive and made the process very easy and comfortable; she designed exercises that pertained to our actual situation and did not take a one size fits all approach, which made us very happy. She provided an environment that enabled us to talk openly about issues that plagued our relationship, no judgments or pointing fingers, unbiased and safe. On many occasions, my partner and I used the time to really let each other know how we’ve felt regarding situations that happened during the course of the week that we didn’t really know how to say on our own. If you’re going through something with your husband/wife/boyfriend/girlfriend, Meredith is your person. Just be open-minded to the exercises, you may not always understand them, but they will work wonders." - Andrew R.

"We are currently together for 18 years and married for 11 years with three children. We met with Meredith about two years ago. It was the best decision we made for our relationship. Although the first few sessions we difficult because we had to share our relationship issues, we worked through them with her and looked forward to meet with her each week. She was always kind, positive, supportive, and open minded. She always saw both sides and helped us to truly understand each other. She gave us helpful advice and tools to deal with conflict, which we still use today. We communicate better and resolve our arguments faster. This has created a healthier environment for our children and we are better role models for them. We are so grateful to Meredith and would recommend her to anyone who wants to improve their relationship with their spouse." - Stacy C.

Thank you so much again for all of your help! We really appreciate all you did with us. We are in a really good place today. You are the first and only person I will call in the future. - Melissa K.

I’m so glad I decided to see Meredith. She truly understood me and offered ideas to help me through a difficult time in my relationship. My boyfriend (now husband!) was hesitant, but instantly felt at ease during our sessions. Meredith has a quality about her that makes you feel comfortable; more like talking to a close friend or family member. She exponentially changed the way we communicate and listen to each other. I can surely say that my relationship is better because of the time we spent with Meredith! - Olivia T.

Session Details:

Meredith sees couples together for the initial session, then each partner individually for one session, and then together again moving forward. This allows her to get to know each person more deeply and provide a comprehensive assessment of what areas in the relationship are in need of attention.
Meredith utilizes an online relationship assessment tool that provides her with an extensive overview of a couple’s strengths and challenges. The results of this assessment give her a full picture up front, so she can provide her clients with:
  • A detailed account of where she sees your relationship presently
  • Specific changes you can make to improve your relationship
  • The timeline for and type of work it will take to achieve your goals
  • An opportunity to confirm you’re both on the same page before moving forward

You and your partner will be asked to complete this confidential, online assessment prior to your individual sessions. There is no additional cost to you for using this assessment.

Rates and Insurance:

Sessions are 50 minutes and are held remotely via Zoom. Meredith’s fee is $325/session for couples and $250/session for individuals.

Meredith is an out of network provider, which means if you have out of network benefits you can submit the receipts from your sessions for partial reimbursement. If you’re not familiar with your insurance benefits, this is something we can look into for you. Send an email to our assistant, Kate Bladon, with a photo of the front and back of your insurance card and date of birth to get the information.

If you have a Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA), this is a great opportunity to utilize them. Both are acceptable for session payments
