If you are in need of assistance for:

  •  Anxiety
  • Depressed mood
  • Low self-esteem
  • Relationship issues (and healthier communication)
  • Stressful life problems and concerns
  • Painful childhood memories

Or if you simply have a desire for self-actualization or self-improvement, I am here to help.

Also, if you appreciate a psychospiritual approach to therapy, or are going through an existential or spiritual life crisis, or have doubts or concerns about the meaning of your life, I can provide valuable support and insight.

I do, however, also provide more traditional methods of psychotherapeutic support for those who do not have an interest in spirituality as part of their counseling.

My clients seem to appreciate very much the warm and engaging atmosphere that I provide for them in their therapy sessions.  Often clients find me to be intuitive, compassionate, and caring--and very comprehensive and focused on helping them work through their difficulties and on resolving their life problems and circumstances.   As a therapist, I implement cognitive-behavioral therapy and psychodynamic psychotherapy, including addressing issues from  childhood and teen years (or stress and trauma from past relationships), though only when you feel it would be beneficial.  I also provide a humanistic, personal growth, and positive psychology approach to my work as a therapist.

I have been a licensed psychologist for greater than 17 years.  I currently provide counseling in a peaceful, private practice setting, with evocative, high desert mountain views.  It is a very pleasant environment for receiving therapy support.  I work in conjunction with a small group of psychologists and therapists who are also dedicated to providing beneficial service to the Sedona and Flagstaff communities.

My doctoral training was unique in that it emphasized, not only standard clinical and counseling psychology, but also an integrative, body, mind, and spiritual approach to psychotherapeutic treatment.  People of diverse spiritual beliefs will find comfort in my ability to weave spirituality into psychotherapy sessions.  I am also oriented toward holistic health and wellness.

My style of therapy is heart-centered, focused on resolving life difficulties, though simultaneously encouraging inner exploration, self-development, and the healing and deepening of relationships.  I can help you overcome negative tendencies and gain greater mastery over your mind, engendering improved emotional stability and inner peace.  My goal is to help you attain a level of freedom and inspiration that you have, as of yet, not known.

There is a whole universe of possibility that dwells within each individual.  If one cultivates one's inner essence as if it were a garden, beautiful possibilities for one's life emerge.   I can help to open doorways toward emotional healing and toward a more fulfilled way of living.
