"A Journey Towards Wellness"
Life is a journey and counselling is a small part of that journey that helps us see the bigger picture, thus leading us towards wellness and contentment with who we are as individuals and with others.
Sylvia is committed to walk with you through that part of your journey where you might feel stuck, individually or relationally. Her approach is client-centred and her sincerity, warmth and compassion bring a safe, non-judgmental and welcoming environment to the therapy setting. Together with the client, goals are set at the beginning of therapy.
Sylvia will work closely with clients to help them get in touch with their feelings, thoughts and behaviours and will coach them to become more aware of their patterns and cycles. Empowering clients towards gaining a more balanced perspective of who they are as individuals and how they relate to others is one of the benefits of counselling that Sylvia offers.
For Couples, Relationships and Marriages, a number of areas are addressed:
* Understanding the dynamics that take place in our conversations (emotions and meaning)
* Learning how to communicate our needs
* Creating an environment of encouragement, support and fulfillment
* Learning how to invest in our most intimate relationships
* Defining our strengths & limitations
For Individuals, Sylvia will work with areas like:
* Self - Image/Worth
* How to set healthy boundaries
* Family of Origin Issues
