Established in 1908, Mental Health Connecticut (MHC) is the longest standing nonprofit organization dedicated to the improvement of mental health for the residents of our state. With facilities in Stamford, Bridgeport, Danbury, Waterbury, Torrington, and West Hartford, we are committed to delivering the highest quality services to our program participants as well as providing resources and information to the general public through our community education offerings. Since its founding, MHC has been a leader in mental health reform through its advocacy efforts on both the state and federal levels. Following in the footsteps of our founder, Clifford W. Beers, we’ve continued to push toward a future where individuals with mental health conditions are treated fairly and have access to the key supports for wellness: Home, Health, Purpose, and Community.
