Grant Us Hope provides suicide prevention and mental health guidance, training and support to parents, teachers and school administrators. However, at the center of it all is our work with students – Hope Squads. We are Saving Young Lives, Together.

Youth are seven times more likely to talk to their friends when they are struggling than to an adult. Yet the majority of suicide prevention programming revolves around adult interventions. Hope Squad, instead focuses on empowering youth to learn how to more effectively identify their peers who are in trouble, communicate with them effectively, and get them to the help they need early – before it is too late. Hope Squad is one of the only peer-to-peer, evidenced-based programs in the country and has been effectively saving lives. The first eight schools that partnered with Grant Us Hope experienced a total of 12 suicides in the year prior. Since that time, they have had zero. In fact, there have been zero suicides among in-person learners in the 150 schools that Grant Us Hope now serves.
