Feeling connected to someone you love can be the most wonderful experience in the world.  It’s when we feel fully alive and engaged in the joy of the world around us.

Even in a relationship that feels great, there are times when partners can feel alone, unsupported, and unloved. What is going on?

When the early excitement of falling in love fades, differences which once felt trivial become the source of disagreement and frustration.  That sense of connection and safety has slipped away and has been replace by frustration, disagreement, and a longing for something lost.

Imagine if you could rediscover that lost connection and create a lasting, mature love.  Imagine a life in which you feel closer and closer to your partner, family, and friends.  Imagine life and love lived to the fullest!  Exploring, understanding, and appreciating your differences can become the most joyous experience of your life, and a path to lasting love.

Our workshop offers you the opportunity to focus on your relationship with your partner in an atmosphere rich with possibilities for deeper understanding, empathy, respect, and safety.  In this safe environment, you and your partner will learn specific skills and concepts that will help you build a better life together. You will have the time and space together to enable you to make breakthrough changes in the way you relate.  The workshop is designed as a journey, taking you step-by-step through an exploration of your past and its influence on your present.  Together, you are encouraged to create a new vision and plans for enjoying your future together.

Except for brief introductions, you will work either alone or with your partner and will not be expected to share anything with the group unless you choose to do so during feedback sessions or skill demonstrations. The format includes lecture, written reflections for your personal insights, demonstrations and practice of new skills and tools.

The workshop is based on IMAGO as described in the best-selling book “Getting the Love You Want,” by Harville Hendrix, Ph.D.  Imago weaves together leading psychological theories and practical observations on the experience of love, offering an approach to relationships that is both compelling and easy to understand.

The Imago Dialogue is a simple, respectful, and effective way to talk with your partner about the things that really matter.

In Imago, there is no blame, shame, or criticism.  Instead, a stronger connection comes through attentive listening and being deeply heard in an emotionally safe environment.  Then surprising answers to age-old conflicts can emerge ...

Committed love relationships are the most powerful and prized of all human experiences and have the potential for the deepest personal and social healing. Our mission is to create a new way to love, transforming the world one relationship at a time. We are committed to using Imago theory and practices to help all interested persons create and sustain mutually fulfilling, healing, and egalitarian love relationships and to help parents raise whole and loving children in the service of  improving the quality of society.
