My addiction works focuses on food and alcohol. We turn to substances and food because we are experiencing things or feelings that we don't have the skills to cope with. Once we develop awareness around our behaviors and how they are impacting our lives, we can focus on what triggers us to perform those behaviors. Understanding the triggers and then learning new ways to cope with those triggers is the heart of my addictions work.
