I embrace a holistic approach to healing. I fully believe that if the body is sick then the mind will follow, unless the mind remains strong. If the spirit is sick the mind or body can fall sick. When we have a strong spirit and our body fails, we are better able to heal, likewise when out mind fails, we are better able to heal. I don't press any particular Christian belief in my practice. I use Biblical references, encourage a great deal of prayer, a strong relationship with God, and I teach forgiveness. I am not the best Christian, not pious, I do my best. I used to be a youth minister and I have a strong knowledge of the Bible. Strong, lost, or wavering faith, I can help with your issue.

At Valiant Recovery, we strive to treat the body, soul and spirit of everyone who comes to us for help. The hurts and injuries of people struggling with addiction might be spiritual in nature, which warrants a spiritual course of treatment. Our beliefs are Christian and we offer a variety of biblical based programs. We understand that every client will bring their own unique perspective to matters of faith and spirituality, and we encourage their right to decide for themselves what they believe. All spiritual counseling is optional and will be provided upon request. During the initial intake, clients are asked if they are open to spiritual direction.

As a follower of Christ, I have long understood that God's purpose for my life is to lead & empower others to discover the very best in themselves and in others. The Lord chose to utilize me as a vehicle for spreading His word & helping others live Christ-centered, faith-abundant lives. Although not a pastoral counselor by training, I do incorporate faith-based principles into my practice of counseling individuals, couples, and families.

We all have a purpose and a plan for our lives. On our journey we face fears and have hopes. We experience success and failure. We meet good and bad people which influences us. We are faced with challenges and disappointments but it says, we are to have life abundantly. I believe that there is a time for every season, health, sickness, blessing and tragedy all come in due season. We are human, we make mistakes, we were formed from dust. Sometimes we get ourselves into bad situations which can be difficult to get free of. We must forgive to be forgiven. We were not made for abuse or to carry burdens alone or to live with stress. I utilized the Biblical perspective for direction.
