On separate occasions Christ is referred to as The Great Physician and The Wonderful Counselor. I believe that no healing is possible without Him. I'm thankful that God has given incredible skill and knowledge to the men and women whom we seek when we have physical and/or emotional illnesses. I support them completely. In my practice, whether I'm counseling with a couple who's marriage is in trouble, or an individual suffering with an anxiety disorder, I follow prescribed standards of sound mental health therapy, but I'm always careful that I remain true to Christian principles with any counsel I give.

Repairing your relationship with God can be very helpful in allowing yourself to let go of things you cannot control that feeds anxiety and depression. Learning how to be present in the moment and trusting how life unfolds can help you transition to a happier life. You can start doing this by taking time each day to connection with the creator in any way that works for you: prayer, meditation, acts of service, generosity, time in nature or a daily devotion like my favorite "Jesus Calling." I enjoy helping couples and individuals improve their lives by reprioritizing God, increasing self love, learning forgiveness, practicing gratitude, embracing grace and creating joy.

In a world where we are constantly witnessing human cruelty and brokenness it is common to ask the question of, "Why, God?" or "Where were you, God?" Our spirituality and faith are tested day by day making it difficult to stay consistently connected to God. It's especially hard to do alone, which I believe is why God gave us one another in community. You will find my office to be a place of peace, prayer, soul searching, and forgiveness. Together, we will wrestle through scripture and discussion in search of answers to the difficult questions of life. My goal is that in time you will find healing and restoration in your faith.

I give my clients the opportunity to utilize scripture when substituting dysfunctional thoughts with healthier thought patterns. I also utilize visualization and art when helping clients minimize the effects of trauma or abuse from the past. These unhealthy childhood messages no longer have to dominate your present or predict your future. I believe many people are living as captives when freedom is available.

I help clients of Christian faith and other spiritual backgrounds to explore faith issues, church hurt, and spirituality from a Christian lens. I offer an accepting, non-judgemental space to ask questions, wrestle with difficulties, and process faith-related topics. I use a spiritually integrative approach and can bring a knowledge of biblical themes and theology without imposing dogmatic scriptural applications. I have additional training in Masters' level Christian Counseling and hold seminary certificates in Biblical literacy and apologetics.
