I am a Christian. However, knowing this may mean different things to different people. I draw from all sources of learning to assist people in solving their problems, feeling better, and better understand themselves. The issues of the scriptures may be appropriate during a session. However, this is handled very carefully knowing and many people see religion as a source of conflict and it is not healing.

Proverbs 1:33 says, "Whoever listens to me (God's wisdom) will live in safety and be at ease, without fear of harm." It's pretty simple: if you live your life according to God's instruction, his law will protect you; if you ignore his commands you do so at your own peril. Today, few counselors are drawing upon God's word, but the Psalmist writes (Psalm 119:99), "I have more understanding than all my teachers for your testimonies are my meditation." Because the Lord has blessed my life as I live according to His word, I am not afraid to share that insight with you. I was a pastor for 15 years, so I have a rich experience to draw upon to help fellow Christians navigate dark waters.
