I am a Christian myself and value utilizing a Biblical approach in my counseling practice as a Licensed Professional Counselor. While I won't impose my own values on you, I will utilize scripture and prayer during our sessions as much as you are comfortable. I will draw on our faith and rely on the Biblical word to provide a framework for us to look at your circumstances and find ways in which to move forward so that you have the opportunity to live a life that is pleasing to God. There is a certain comfort that comes with being congruent to who you are and to be able to rely on your faith in the counseling process. God is the mighty healer and all things are possible through Him.

While most Christian Counselors pride themselves on how many Scriptural passages they can recite and how many links they can make from the Bible to psychological disorders, the Christian-centric work of Grey Matters International, Inc.is grounded in one principle: truth. For us, the work is more about truth and transparency of Christ's message and working on the natural laws of accountability and decision making that evolve from that. If one honors God's natural laws of reaping and sowing around the decisions one makes, one is indeed living Scripture to its fullest. If you are a Christian, that is exciting to me, as we can now explore God's truth and commandments for living our lives. We know this is a struggle for all of us, that our nature is selfish, but if we are truly living to please our Lord and Savior, then facing our sinfulness, repenting and turning toward God will heal our souls and renew our spirit. We can explore some of these areas, turn to God's Word, not mine, and allow Him to speak to your heart. I also have some materials from Christian authors that help people with their marital relationship, anger issues, anxiety and worry.

As a Christian myself, I believe the Bible to be an important foundation for truth and understanding of ourselves in the world we live in today. Each of us are faced with different challenges that our lives bring. I incorporate clinical tools and interventions with Christ centered principles to each stage of our work together.
