Family therapy is an effective stand-alone treatment and can often be complementary to individual therapy, especially when working with children and adolescents. The aim of family therapy is to develop insight and understanding into relationship dynamics and family structures that may be contributing to dysfunction for one or several family members and ultimately identify develop healthier, more adaptive means of resolving conflict within the family system.

I work with families to help improve communication and create healthier and more effective patterns of living. I also strive to provide support for families who are living or caring for someone who is suffering from a mental, physical or emotional illness. I provide support for parents who are raising teenagers as well. I use a family systems approach in my work with families.
