Both of my parents were ministers when I was growing up. Can I say that I am a "hard-core Christian"? No. But what I can say is that I am familiar with the bible, believe in it's teachings, and can associate the bible with many other religious texts. Christian/Jewish Therapy: I've integrated my previous knowledge from a decade of Hebrew School and [independent] studies of Christianity, with the principles taught by a christian counselor I studied under @ UCONN. I took numerous courses with him, & continued to realize how I could help people of faiths. Later in grad school I did my 1,000 hour internship at St. Francis, supervised by a religious Christian. Finally, I spent years as an intern, then resident, at Catholic Charities with numerous successes. Faith does not shield us from life’s challenges. Even as Christians, we may face seasons of emotional struggle, illness, grief, or relationship pain. My goal in Christian counseling is to walk with you through these difficulties in a way that strengthens your faith and reminds you of the hope and purpose God has for your life. While following Christ in today’s world can feel overwhelming at times, I believe that God always provides a path forward. Together, we can seek healing, peace, and restoration through both sound therapeutic practice and the sustaining truth of God’s Word.
