I believe in treating the family as a "unit", while at once realizing the uniqueness of each individual member. One or more individuals who are struggling with issues within the family system impacts the remaining family members. I strongly believe that the parent/parents/step-parents are the foundation of the family and it is this influence which sets the tone for family harmony. I also understand the complex dynamics in a blended family situation and work with these families to gain a new respect and understanding for each other, given their specific needs and desires. I will work with you to assess your family's strengths and resources to prompt change in a variety of problem areas.
