The first thing you should know about me is that I am a Christian and that I believe that the Bible is the word of God. Hebrews Chapter 4 and verse 12 says that "...the word of God is living and active..." I believe that this verse is true and help Bible believing Christians understand not only what the Bible says but what it will mean for them to line up their life in accord with it. I do not use the Bible as a weapon but as a gentle guide as I remind people not only about the promises, and power of God but the requirements He has for us. I pray with people and lavish encouragement. Furthermore I give concrete and practical homework so that progress can be made most rapidly.

The Bible is God's instruction to Christians on so many topics. A most valuable set of topics is of course, family development and marital satisfaction. As a Christian Minister I approach counseling with an integration of biblical and clinical principles. One informs the other. The Bible is silent on many topics and theologically, one must not attempt to make doctrine out of silence. If you have spiritual questions-- as they relate to your faith and counseling goals, I also happen to be trained to help guide you through your hard questions about the Christian faith and together we can find the answers that Christ wants to pour into your life.

When asked to incorporate a biblical perspective into therapy, I am more than happy to do this. I became a born-again Christian early in my youth. Since I have walked with the Lord for a long time, I have also fallen a time or two, which makes therapy all that richer. There's no judgement, just honest truths that can feel relatable. Therapy is sprinkled throughout the bible; it's the framework for CBT. I can honestly say with my whole heart, despite all that the Lord and I have been through, he really is my best friend.

As a Christian counselor, I believe that faith and healing go hand in hand. I understand that life can be challenging, and it's easy to get caught up in the distractions and deceptions of daily living. That's why I take a compassionate and truthful approach to counseling, relying on the teachings of the Scriptures to help guide my clients. None of us are perfect, but by focusing on the grace and love of Jesus Christ, we can find healing and purpose in our lives.
