Children in the Scottsdale Unified School District are taught skills each year to appropriately deal with bullying situations. Whether in class, in the hallway, or online, those who experience or witness bullying are trained to remain calm, stand up for themselves, leave the situation as soon as possible, and report the incident to a trusted adult. School officials provide emotional support, and peer groups provide social support to ensure children that are bullied feel cared for, safe, and welcome at school. Call 480-484-6100 to find out more about the district's anti-bullying efforts.4
