Nearly all of the benefits of Theravive are not found on any "therapist directory."
1. Unique Listings: Theravive is the only referral source that offers multiple unique listings based both on location and specialization. Therapist directories give you a single listing for your entire practice. With Theravive, your specializations are marketed individually, resulting in numerous unique listings. This is an innovation not found on any therapist directory. Theravive gives our therapists unique optimization for superior search engine results, hence more client referrals.
"Therapist Directories" are flat, clinical, and sterile. Theravive is a warm, vibrant, intelligent marketing system that reaches out to potential clients in a way that relates directly to their needs.
2. Paid Client Guarantee: We know of no other referral source that is confident enough to guarantee a paid client. Even though the most Theravive can do for you is provide to you referrals, and even though it's up to you to convert a referral into a paying client, we still guarantee this based on your word to us (honor system) because we are simply that confident that you will be pleased with our ability to market you. 3. Exclusivity: We are the only referral source that is exclusive. While therapist directories list as many therapists as possible, Theravive will only list one listing per population of 10,000 people, with a maximum of 25 - even in large cities with over a million people. That means less competition for clients among other therapists than you will find on other directories. A therapist on a typical directory may be one of hundreds in their area....on Theravive, he or she will only be one of 25 at the most. Who do you think will get more referrals: the therapist who is buried on page 23 of 1000 other therapists, or the therapist on Theravive who is one of (at most) 25, and always on page 1? Because we are exclusive, therapists on Theravive have a richer concentration of client contacts. When we close cities to new sign ups, wait lists can take years to fill.
4. Multiple Targeted Cities This allows you to multiply your listing in a way that you cannot do on other directories. The best and closest analogy would be to imagine having 3 full listings on another directory one each in Los Angeles, Anaheim, and Oakland. For instance, on another directory, you purchase a listing in "Los Angeles" and then you are done. Not with Theravive. Because all cities on Theravive are exclusive, it only makes sense to give marketing savvy therapists the ability to claim spots in nearby cities and towns (i.e. List in more than one area proximal to your office), thereby dramatically increasing their advertising reach.
For example, lets say we have a therapist Jane Doe listed in Nashville, TN with a population of 635,000. There are only 25 spots available. The city of Brentwood is merely 10 miles away from Nashville, with only a population of 23,000, meaning there are only 2 spots available on Theravive. Jane reaches clients in Brentwood (even though she has only one office in Nashville), and thus she lists in both Nashville and Brentwood on Theravive, thereby securing one of the 2 Brentwood spots all to herself. Now, she can feel confident knowing that she has Brentwood "locked" in as long as she chooses and draw clients from both areas through our focused marketing, rather than just one.
5. Proximal Listings: On Theravive you also receive the benefit of numerous additional listings in other locations. Any cities, towns, or municipalities on our site that are within several miles of your targeted cities will automatically display your listing, provided that there are no therapists currently paying for those locations. And whenever you show up in a proximal listing, you are always randomized, with equal top placement as everyone else. Psychology Today, and Network Therapy, the only other directories we know of that have any kind of proximal listing capability (there is none on GoodTherapy that we could find), they will always list out-of-city therapists beneath therapists specific to that city, so there is no chance of top placement in a multi-therapist city where your physical address is not an exact match. On Theravive, top placement in proximal listings is available to all therapists within reach.
