For more than two and a half decades, I have been active in various forms in the mental health field. Since 2010, I have been an individual and couples psychotherapist working in private practice. I work and have worked with a wide range of ages, problems, and populations. My focus tends to be around early and mid career professionals who’ve been successful in at least one chosen field. I see high performing individuals, C-level clients, VPs, physicians, attorneys, tech savvy people, and all major industries in Seattle.

My style of therapy is to relate deeply with whoever I’m working with and truly be present in the space with my clients so their world becomes vivid to me. I value the work I do and I help get the best for those I help. When we work together to solve whatever you are struggling with, the synthesis is better than either of us alone could figure out.

I have trained in several therapy theories, many oriented around the body and our lived experience as humans. Most recently I have been training in relational psychoanalytic psychotherapy, which means that I help you look at underlying causes of your thinking and early life experiences that brought you to where you are today. We look at how these are active in the here and now and use our relationship to help us understand what it’s like to be you and what it’s like for others to experience you. Our work is rich and vibrant and very life giving. I believe that the systems of people and beliefs that we live in are the biggest contributors to our current experience, good and bad alike.

In addition to my ongoing training, my personal life and experience informs much of my compassion. I continue to make choices in my life that thrill me and make me excited and grateful to be alive. I am a friend, a partner, a mother, a sister, a daughter, a human, and a person in your community. And I can join with you to be your therapist, mentor, advisor, or guide.

I’ve been on both sides of the therapy relationship for many many years and what I can say to you if you’ve never been to therapy is this: pick someone as a therapist who you feel something toward. Do you think he or she can help? Trust that intuition. Do you think you’d like to spend time with that person and hopefully learn to trust them? Trust that, too. Do you breathe a sigh of relief thinking of what it could be like to chat with them? Trust that. I hope to chat with you soon.
