I am a licensed clinical therapist with experience providing therapy for adults, adolescents, and couples. I have been in private practice for many years in downtown Chicago specializing in treating anxiety, depression, grief, self esteem concerns, women’s issues, adult life transitions and couple conflict and intimacy utilizing a psychodynamic approach to therapy in conjunction with mindfulness techniques to provide clients with the skills to feel more present at work and in their everyday lives. Through empathic understanding, i work with my clients to help them learn how to make healthy contact with feelings, memories, thoughts, and physical sensations that have been ignored or feared and avoided. Understanding how people develop their own characteristic patterns of behaving, feeling and thinking informs my clinical work. I earned my masters degree in Counseling Psychology from Northwestern University and my undergraduate degree from Georgetown University.
