Offering in office appointments on Sundays in the Tucson area and telehealth appointments within the state of Arizona.

My approach is a results oriented, active, direct, and homework driven style. Addictions often originate from deeper underlying issues such as trauma/PTSD, chronic pain, psychosis, anxiety, and depression. I want to help you accomplish *whatever* goals/values that are uniquely important to you. Are you not sure what your goals or values are? No worries, we can work together to find out what these are. I genuinely want to help you put the hard work of therapy into achieving real growth.

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy: We can work together collaboratively in softly challenging distorted unhelpful/exaggerated/unrealistic harsh judgements/thoughts/beliefs that appear during your distress. Just because we have a thought doesn't make it true. We can work together to accept uncomfortable emotions/physical symptoms rather than act harsh towards them. Our emotions, although sometimes misguided, are trying to help us and we can take a more thankful/flexible attitude of allowing them to be there even through they are very unpleasant.
    • Treats chronic pain, psychosis, anxiety, depression, and addiction.

    • Motivational Interviewing: Part of us leans towards a new path, while another part likes things just as they are. This approach acknowledges that clients are the expert of their own lives and looks to roll with both sides without pushing any agenda onto the client. Thus, the client can look to see how actions may or may not match their unique values.
      • Treats addiction

    • Harm Reduction or Abstinence: Addiction is the compulsive use of drugs/alcohol despite significant negative consequences. Some clients are not in a place in their life in which they are not open to committing to abstain from drugs and alcohol. If your goal is to either reduce or completely abstain from drug or alcohol use, I can help.
      • Treats addiction

The population I have chosen to work with is adults and teenagers who struggle or who have previously struggled with compulsive use of drugs/alcohol despite significant negative consequences to one’s relationships/career/hobbies. I graduated with a Masters in Addiction Counseling in 2021 and I have 7 years of experience in behavioral health at various capacities. I am a member of the neurodivergent/high functioning autistic community.
