Hello and welcome :)

My name is Kaitlan, and I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor as well as a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst. I am passionate about my work and feel honoured being able to be a part of other’s mental health journeys.

I take a non-judgmental and warm approach to therapy. I strongly believe that counselling should be individualized to each person and focus on their values, strengths, and goals. My goal is to not only to work with you to building self-awareness, but help you move towards the positive changes in your life that you desire.

Within my practice, I have a strong connection and skillset towards supporting parents, children and teens, as well as women’s mental health. I draw from a variety of therapeutic modalities including Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Art Therapy, and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy.

Cost: $150 per 50 minute session

Location: Online sessions (Zoom), in person (case by case)

Supports:

Individual Counselling Sessions  - Where I work with you on specific goal areas, building self-awareness and discovering new skills (such as anxiety, depression, communication issues, self-esteem, etc.)

Parent Support -  This is where we can work together to support your parenting goals based on your families values. This can include recognizing how your upbringing affects your parenting style, learning to co-regulate, creating healthy boundaries with your child, behaviour and academic support systems.

Child Counselling Sessions - I can work one on one with your child to support areas of concern. This can include many skills including but not limited to behaviour support, increasing attention, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, communication and relationships.

Teen Counselling Sessions -  I can work one on one with your teen to support areas of concern. This can include many skills including but not limited to behaviour support, increasing attention, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, communication and relationships.

Education: I completed my masters of science in applied behaviour analysis in 2020 and am currently registered as a BCBA (Board certified behaviour analyst). This means I have a large background in behaviour change support systems, supporting children, and neurodiverse individuals.

Following this, I completed the educational requirements and an internship to become an RCC in 2022. Due to my background, I believe I am able to provide a unique perspective and approach to counselling that is client focussed.

If you are interested in reaching out, please feel free to email me and I would be happy to arrange for a free introductory call where we can discuss counselling services further.
