MY APPROACH TO THERAPY
I respect and care for my patients and work with them using
various modalities. I can customize my
approach to help them each grow, resolve their issues, and improve their
Quality of Life without long term therapy.
The warm atmosphere of my office allows my patients to feel comfortable
and safe. My goal is to help my patients
be the best they can be naturally, without medication, and permanently.
EXPERIENCE
I have worked with veterans to help them
resolve their Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, persons with Depression and
Anxiety, Head Injuries or Stroke, Learning disabilities including Attention
Deficits in adults and children, Addictions and Eating Disorders, Sleep
Disorders, Chronic Pain, and more. As a
Cardiac Psychologist I am involved in all aspects of heart disease from
prevention to pre-surgery, post-surgery, and rehabilitation. Many of South
Florida’s athletes, performers, executives and students come to my office for
EEG Biofeedback training to improve their focus and achieve Peak Performance.
QUALIFICATIONS
I am a licensed Clinical Psychologist in the state of
Florida and am the only psychologist in Dade County who is an internationally
certified Senior Fellow in EEG Biofeedback (BCN). I am also a certified Fellow in Clinical
Hypnotherapy and a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC). I am Senior Disability Analyst and Diplomate
for the American Board of Disability Analysts and am a certified Eye Movement
Desensitizarion and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapist and a Traumatic Incident
Reduction (TIR) therapist.
Additionally, I have completed Preceptorships in Cardiology and Oncology
at the prestigious Albert Einstein Hospitals in Philadelphia, PA. These Preceptorships have assisted in my role
as Cardiac Psychologist and helped my patients stop smoking. I am often called upon to consult with
physicians and rehabilitation specialists in the psychological and behavioral
management of medical conditions.
I also have a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) which
facilitates consulting with attorneys and business people. I utilized my management skills to lead the
Dade County Psychological Association as President. I am currently chapter Treasurer and sit on
the Board of Directors for the Florida Psychological Association.
