In addition to my other areas of specialization, as a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) for over 25 years, I understand how you may range in your reactions within these crucial relationships from frustrating annoyance to outright desperation—with everything in between.  Communication breakdowns are typically a crucial component.  One of my most helpful approaches for couples and families is Imago Relationships Therapy (in which I am board certified).  I also incorporate, as needed, many other dynamic systems approaches, including Brief Therapy, Structural Family Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Attachment Therapy, and more.

You might call me an information junkie.  I believe that different unique and/or combined approaches are optimal for different individuals, couples, siblings, as well as for nuclear and extended families.  (Are the in-laws the out-laws in your family?)  To be the most effective couples, marriage and family therapist possible, I have also trained in multiple additional areas such as cognitive behavioral, inter-generational, and experiential approaches.  (Please see my website for a more complete listing of my credentials.)

Humans are relational beings.  Often what we think of as an “individual’s” problem is significantly linked to effects of past or present relationships. The focus, however, is always on current day solutions so that all involved can move on.  Come for a FREE CONSULTATION.
