I support people in their desire to make positive, lasting changes in their lives. I teach them skills they can use to draw on their own strengths to make those changes.
I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Valdosta State University in Valdosta, Georgia. After moving back to Illinois, I earned my Master of Arts degree in Human Development Counseling from the University of Illinois at Springfield.
I am licensed by the State of Illinois as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC). I am a professional member of the American Counseling Association, Illinois Counseling Association, and Illinois Mental Health Counselors Association division.
My current passion is helping individuals and couples process their thoughts and feelings about infertility and reproductive issues and resolve their desires for parenthood. As such, I am a professional member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine Mental Health Professionals Group, and a member/professional support group leader for RESOLVE: The National Infertility Association.
I have clinical
experience in treating children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families
using individual, couples, family, and group therapy. I practice standard
cognitive behavior therapy for most conditions, although other treatment
approaches are used, depending on the person or condition.
