Tamara is a Registered Psychologist in the province of Alberta, Canada. She has a Masters Degree in Educational Psychology. She specializes in clinical and counselling psychology. She began her career in child, adolescent and family mental health over twenty years ago and has continued to expand both her own clinical skill set and the population she serves. She has worked with all ages in the area of mental health. She finds that she has a sincere interest, as well as personal experience in the area of reproductive and perinatal mental health including challenges with fertility. She enjoys working with women who are trying to manage their own emotional health needs within the context of parenting and career. Tamara seeks to help couples better understand and accept one another so they can find joy in their relationship with one another. She continues to work with children and teens to help them with self expression, emotional regulation and empowerment from a young age. Tamara uses an integrative approach in her counselling work based on client need and evidence informed practice. She is trained in many modalities, including: the Gottman Method (Level I, II, Trauma & Affairs), CBT and CBT- I (cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia), ACT, EMDR, Mindfulness, Sand Tray, Theraplay, and Perinatal Grief and Loss. Tamara has a special interest in psychological safety in the work place and a developing interest in the area of birth trauma.
