I am a therapist with a deep commitment to the spiritual core of who we are as human beings, and actively cultivate a spiritual life in all aspects of who I am, particularly in my work as counselor and psychotherapist. I am an active member of a Christian Faith community, and am open to persons of all Faiths as we seek to become all that God intended us to be. My life has been varied and full being born in Europe, growing up in Western Canada, and attending theological and professional schools in the United States. I have directed a Counseling department in a large urban hospital, and worked both in Pastoral Counseling centers, as well as in Private Practice. I have also been a teacher of counseling for most of my professional life, and for the last 17 years here in Chicago I have been a full-time Professor of Counseling and Spirituality at Loyola University Chicago.
Persons working with me can expect to be met with the deepest respect, and in a way that takes seriously all of who we are; emotional, spiritual, physical, and relational. I see life as a Pilgrimage, and we all need support and guidance at various points on our journeys. If you feel you would benefit from being accompanied in this way for a while on your journey of growth or healing, then please feel free to seek me out.
