Grief is one of the most difficult experiences that we as human beings face. It occurs in many forms, at different times, and for various lengths of time. Anticipatory grief builds as face something that we know is on the horizon. Acute grief is our response when the event actually occurs. Delayed grief confronts us when we have gone for some while before allowing the loss to actually seep into our awareness and begin to deal with it. In being alive, we naturally encounter events that cause us to grieve over that loss. We have natural emotional responses that allow us to "pass through" those events. By having you tell the story of the loss, your emotions will be "innervated" so that you will have an emotional release or catharsis.
