As a psychologist, I work from a client-centered approach and focus on client needs and utilize approaches that will result in desired change. My goal is to empower clients by teaching them skills and strategies that will allow them to have victory over their concerns and to have a meaningful existence. I teach clients to be proactive about their lives, self-sufficient and establish a healthy interdependence. It is my intention that clients leave therapy feeling confident to address their concerns because they have established a healthy mental and emotional frame of mind equipped with effective life tools to cope with challenges that one will face.

A Psychologist is a mental health professional who has an earned Doctoral Degree and passed the most rigorous professional training and licensing requirements in the field. As a psychologist, I am trained to help individuals, couples and families in a wide range of areas and issues that they experience. I am particularly focused on the issues of trauma recovery, couples counseling, Depression, Anxiety, Trauma & PTSD, Grief, Unwanted Same Sex Attraction, Sexual Acting Out, OCD, Childhood Abuse, Self Esteem Issues. I find that most of the individuals that I help respond favorably to the EMDR technique. I also use a psychoanalytical technique called "Bodywork" as well as the standard talk therapy approach (cognitive/ behavioral).

I will primarily diagnose abilities, moods and behavior often related to symptoms from traumatic injuries, depression, anxiety, risky behaviors, addictions and social / interpersonal problems.
