I am skilled and trained to deal with career problems. It is so important to be satisfied with one's work and career, and when clients consult with me about their work issues, they come to understand how their relationships with colleagues and supervisors sometimes defeats their needs for approval. Work is such an important part of life, and when it is not going well, everything else is affected.

I have had several careers prior to becoming a therapist including roofing, operating an ice rink zamboni, landscaping, food and beverage, moving, and served in the military as a medic. I understand the dynamics of change in the current economy, and work with the client as they either make the transition to a new career, school, or different job. I support the client in their willingness to make the change, and the emotions that come with change.

While most career counselors love to give you capacity based profiles of what your talents and interests are for your best bet career choices, Grey Matters international believes that most people make predictably irrational decisions and then after making them learn way to make them fit into their identities using various types of rationalizations and strategies. We are able to assist folks in career counseling type settings by giving a deeper look at their decision making profile so they can better understand where the core frustration or desire is coming from in the world of work.
