My approach will be tailored to your specific needs. Having 20 years of experience, I can use a variety of approaches to get to the root causes and get you on the road to healing.

There are different forms of psychotherapy. I use an eclectic approach utilizing several forms of therapy based on the needs of the client. I offer both talk therapy and therapy that does not require talking. Talk therapies involve identification of thoughts, feelings, and behaviors sustaining difficulties. I believe therapist and client form a team with the client leading the pace of the session.

Understanding how you view the world can carry immense benefits. I can help you learn how what happened to you may have negatively affected you, and how to understand how that has colored your viewpoint until now. By examining your own history, you can change your life in a positive way going forward. My approach to psychotherapy comes from a deep responsibility in helping people grow. I specialize in brining adults to consciousness, healing trauma, and self actualization. With 23 years of practicing and teaching the science of yoga and spirituality I consider this work sacred. I have a limited amount of session per week to give my clients the attention they need. I work regularly on my own self care which allows me to capture my passion and avoid burn out. For over 25 years I have been intentional about my own personal growth and healing. Many of my clients are with me for years and I often hear from past clients years later. Building relationships is the core of therapeutic success.

Julie Taylor is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist that specializes in working with children and their families. With advanced training in Infant Mental Health, Child Development, Play Therapy, Trauma, Adoptions, and Custody Issues – Julie focuses on building strong kids and strong families. Working with children in Central Florida since 1999, Julie understands the complexity of life and the challenges families face. Julie works with kids using Play as the center of her sessions, because play helps all brains develop and grow.

I work with an entire person--the mind, emotions, body, spirit, relationships. I offer an alternative approach to traditional psychotherapy because sometimes we are stuck beyond our thoughts. I believe we are often stuck beyond how we think about something, but by how our body holds and remembers the experiences. After all, we feel the anxiety in our chest, shoulders or stomach. Psychotherapy is designed to help you identify past issues that are currently effecting your life. Once you get to the root of the problem you can resolve it and move on in an emotionally healthy way. While this is an excellent option for some people, not all issues will require this form of intense long term work. So I recommend discussing your issues, goals, & options with your therapist to determine which approach will best meet your needs. If psychotherapy is needed I am happy to work with you for as long as it takes to reach your goal. For best results I also recommend meeting a potential therapist for a few sessions to make sure you feel comfortable and work well together.

Instead, I integrate a variety of approaches and modalities that work with one another to create an approach that is as unique as you while grounded in evidenced based practice and the latest research.
