Losing someone or something you love is profoundly painful. One of the greatest myths we hear is that “time heals all wounds.” In reality, time often deepens the ache unless we give ourselves permission to grieve. Healing requires space to mourn, honor what has been lost, and gently begin to carry it in a new way. It is my privilege to walk alongside clients as they move through grief toward healing, meaning, and peace.

Grief is a normal and natural process that can be very different for different people. Many people go through the bereavement process without encountering serious setbacks, while others may find obstacles along the path.. Many bereaved individuals struggle with powerful feelings of depression and hopelessness. Others may experience unremitting fear and loneliness; unrelenting guilt over said or unsaid words, unresolved conflicts, unshared feelings, etc. Many experience pervasive and often unconscious anger toward the lost person, rooted on deep feelings of abandonment and unfairness. Through the reprocessing of past events, using EMDR and other psychotherapeutic techniques, can contribute to get....

Losses are painful. It takes time to recover. Therapy offers a path to heal from losses. In Grief and loss therapy you are allowed to tell your story in a supportive atmosphere. You are then able to use creative media of art, journaling, poetry, and collage making in processing the loss and identify steps in moving to acceptance. you will be able to examine the cycle of grief and loss, which involves the shock, denial, sadness, anger turn inward and outward, resolution and acceptance. you will co-construct new paths to rebuild as you gain acceptance of the loss.
