Grief and loss is like a deep well where pain lives. Counseling is a process that allows you to talk about your loved one or the loss you've experienced in an on-going way until healing begins to occur. This is not a conversation you have with friends or family very often as most people don't know how to handle your grief or loss. I've worked with many grieving individuals and somehow we find a way to find life and live it fully again.

Lose can be painful. Losing someone or something you love or care deeply about never arrives in our lives at a good time. During our periods of loss we may experience all kinds of difficult emotions and it may feel like the pain and sadness each of us experience may never end. Anger, anxiety or depression may be overwhelming. These reactions to a significant loss are normal. As your counselor, we will journey with you during this time of grief. We will not tell you the right or wrong way to grieve, but we can guide you with healthy ways to cope with the pain that, in time, can renew you and permit you to move on. We help process the loss in the hopes of giving a strong meaning to the life event, so that you feel that you can carry whatever you feel that has been lost in a healthy way. Our goal is for clients to thaw and leave the process having a new meaning about their loss. Grief and loss can feel like a very lonely experience; however, a client does not have to be alone.
