I recognize that the most important aspect to an effective therapeutic treatment is the quality of the relationship between the client and therapist. Through this collaborative approach, the client and I identify their strengths and build on these characteristics through therapy. We identify areas in the individuals’ life which are not useful or producing an undesirable outcome-such as self-destructive behavior, poor communication skills, etc.

We use a client centered approach, supplementing individual therapy with family treatment and group therapy as appropriate. We are in the process of becoming certified for gambling addiction treatment through the State of Michigan. For opiate and other substance addictions, we work closely with a medical doctor who treats addictions. We have offered alternatives to traditional Intensive Outpatient Programs, creating individualized intensive treatment programs utilizing individual, family and group treatment.
