Mental Health First Aid is just one of many initiatives launched by Behavioral Health Professionals that address the growing mental health needs of residents in the greater Detroit metropolitan area. The two-day course helps emergency services workers, school personnel, clergy, and other community members identify and appropriately respond to mental health conditions. Participants are also informed of the underlying causes of various common mental illnesses, as well as the warning signs.
