However, if you are recycling your past in the present and doing what we call, "returning to scene of the original crime" in the present, then you are already stuck in the past. My approach is eclectic, taking what is effective from various approaches of psychology to help the client to heal. My approah is candid and direct which often helps cutting through dysfunction. Dysfunction stops the flow of love between individuals; to be functional again means restoring a relationship back to what it's main purpose was in the first place - to love, support and to to embrace so growth can occur. Therapy doesn't begin until an individual takes responsibility for what they may be doing that is unhealthy without blaming shifting. Discovering what is co-dependency may also be an excellent tool. I also help client to learn about Old Brain/ New Brain concepts.
